PistonHeads Sponsors Wilton House Supercars

Join us at the best supercar event of the year on 14th August

Today we can announce that PistonHeads will be a main sponsor of the fantastic Wilton House Supercars event taking place on 14th August. PH involvement will be across the entire event, from the supercars themselves down to PH merchandise being on sale within the trade area and will (of course) include a private parking area reserved for PHers only.

For those who are not familiar with the event Wilton House is a fantastic stately home based in Wiltshire owned by PHer (and Veyron owner) Lord Pembroke.

Fortunately Lord P is a car man through and through so, rather than get all fussy over his manicured lawns, he lets 160 of the UK's best supercars park on his grass so that 10,000 spectators can come and trample it a bit more as they admire the metal on display.

In addition to the supercars there is a large classic car display, a section reserved for hyper-cars (perhaps they are over-energetic?), big screens showing live action from around the show and a huge trade area with stands from great car manufacturers and relevant traders.

Be in no doubt, it's a heck of a spectacle and we can't wait to be there. Keep an eye out for our banners around the event and come and say hello to the team, as we'll be based on our stand or around the display cars throughout the day.

If PHers are planning on attending (and you really should be) you can buy tickets here priced at just £10 for adults and £5 for children aged between 5-15.

To take advantage of the PH Sunday Service parking it is essential that you add your name to the calendar here to help us monitor the number of cars arriving. You will be able to buy tickets on the day near to the PH parking area if you prefer.

Nearer the time we will issue a PH smiley for you to display as you arrive, this will ensure the marshals point you towards the Sunday Service parking area.

Keep your eyes on the homepage over the coming weeks as we will bring you all the information on the supercars and exhibitors in the build up to the big day.

It still amazes me how timeless the F1 Mclaren looks after all these years.

Went last year and will be there again this year! Amazing sights, and the 'sound off' is slightly erotic!

I'm deffenatly going once again. 3rd Wilton House Supercar Show, 3rd time i'm going. All i need to do now, is to order the tickets and decide weather to park in the P.H. car park or the public car park.......

P.S. The sound off was fantastic last time around and hopefully will happen again.

Anyone doing any runs to it this year? I know there was the one from London (tunnel run?) last year, but anyone coming from a bit further south (Southampton way?)

Last year I ended up wandering misty-eyed among a swathe of Nobles, Lotuses, TVRs, an Ultima and a rather lovely BMW M1 for half an hour before realising I was in a car park.

Yes and a very worthy one at that, the local childrens hospital.

Really looking forward to this again, I've been bleating on about it to friends that are interested in cars since it started a couple of years ago.

The event is a charity event, is held in aid of the Salisbury district Stars Appeal (a local hospital charity) well worth a tenner of anyone's money.

PH parking looks likely to be in the same field as 2010, but we'll take those comments on board and will advise the team at Wilton. We'll look to secure a smoother area for lower cars.

Hey,

This sounds like an absolutely fantastic day out, a week before my 18th Birthday as well!
Hate to sound intellectually lacking, but this Wilton House is the same one that's SP2 0BJ? Salisbury?

Would hate to arrive and be told where to stick it from someone's house!

Cheers,
Matt
