• Lead the applications development of RAFT as a 3D cell culture research and development tool including:
o The direction, planning and execution of the activities required to support the RAFT Business Unit
o The creation and management of the budget for the biological activities of the RAFT Business Unit
o The creation and maintenance of active collaborations with industry and academia
o Carrying out required laboratory studies focussed on the development of RAFT into the screening market
o Managing the RAFT biology laboratory facilities
o Provision of expert application advice and support to customers
o Presentation of RAFT at conferences and at in house and on site customer meetings
o Maintain awareness of the movement and key features of the relevant markets and communicate to the team
• Manage a team of two laboratory scientists
• Take responsibility for cell culture labs
• Input to the development of the RAFT Workstation, consumables and reagents to ensure they meet with application and customer requirements
