Afternoon PH'ers.
I need you to convince me to not like this car.
I don't really know a lot about it but i think i need a slap.
Basicaly i saw one the other day, a white one, with tinted windows, i've Auto-traded it & it says the diesel returns about 45mpg urban (claimbed) 61mpg on a run & 54 combined.
It's a Kia Soul.
I read somewhere the other day a Kia also comes with a 7 year warranty?!
I can't imagine something that seems reasonably priced can be any good?
I do have a fairly sheltered car life however, my first car (after passing my test was a 1.2 punto) & then i had a 1.5dci 54 Scenic which exploded & i now have a 1.6 16v Scenic.
(I need a child friendly car).
I do have an excuse however for not having had fast cars or passing my test earlier, i was too busy wearing leather riding motorbikes round.
Is my PH account about to be deleted now for admitting liking the Soul?

No idea what the R version is i just saw a white one with black windows the other day & i like it.
Not really having ever had a sports car i'm not overly phased about speed etc as i can get that from a bike.
I was considering a newer car next year & it's scratching that itch for me (well this week anyway).

The R goes before the Soul you fool.

They're not bad actually, loads of room in the back especially. Quite dull and they look like a 4x4 without any of the off-road abilities though. For cheap motoring I think you could do a lot worse.

I like the look of it too.

The Soul Searcher has caught my fancy and I've just booked a test drive too.

It'll be for my wife, honest.

Can you let me know how the test drive goes? I says it's fairly noisy on a motorway run but 90% of my driving is around town anyway!

They are a modern-day Suzuki Vitara - big, fat, ugly, blobby and clearly designed by Zanussi. I despise thees cars with an active intensity. Generally driven by fat middle-aged women trading down from a Chelsea tractor in my experience.

I honestly prefer the Nissan Juke whose headlights remind me, inexplicably, of a 60's Alfa.

No need for an R version, it already is - Key Arse'ole.

I quite like the look. They might be appalling to drive, though.

Well there's one reason not to buy it: you won't be able to see out of it smile

Not enough room for the yappy frickin' dog they take out to sh*t in the countryside and on beaches.
