Was fine last night - drove it into london, parked up, locked it and it behaved as it should.

Drove it back home this morning and now whenever I try to lock it the alarm sounds. It doesn't happen so soon after I lock it to suggest the boot is open as the alarm goes off about 30secs to 1min afterwards if that is the case. It seems to go off maybe 5 mins later give or take.

Any suggestions?

Had similar problems with mine.
In the end, in my case it was the bonnet lock which was always "on the verge" between having contact and not having contact. Sometimes a little wind slightly moving the bonnet was enough to make the alarm go off.
Try to look into it! A very easy fix: Just regulate the length of the pin on the bonnet side of the lock.
Hope this helps! Good luck!

Bonnet and boot not alarmed as far as I'm aware.
Call to Carl Baker should sort it. He is at TAG too if you can wait.

Mine does the same thing - so when you resolve it I would be interested in knowing the cause.

Thanks I'll have a look into the bonnet thing.

The boot is definately alarmed - I know this because 5 mins after I bought it I had to fill up, and usually i would lock a car when I'm filling up, but on the chim it just meant that the alarm kept going off. Was quite embarasaing! paperbag

boot and bonnet definately alarmed on my '99 450 - the siren chirps if I leave the bonnet open and try and lock the car. FWIW I had a similar problem with the bonnet switch which needed realignment.

Not on either Griff, just the doors and proximity sensor in the middle, no contacts on either boot or bonnet. Maybe there to protect the golf clubs?
