My cans are half sleeved, is it possible to fully sleeve?
Discussion
My car is still a bit quiet, its decatted and has the original carbon cans which have been half sleeved.
I think i need more noise, so i'm guessing its possible to fully sleeve them. From the guide it says the sleeve is inserted from the inlet end (my sleeves are located at the outlet end) so i'm guessing i just have to make sure i cut the sleeve at the correct length.
If i do it is it going to be ridiculous? I like loud but not saxo loud
As the car is being run in i am only occasionaly allowed to go upto 4.5k but it still seems quiet with not many pops and bangs and its especially quiet at idle. I do like the fact i can really hear the induction though...

I put the sleeves in as per the instructions on www.mytuscan.co.uk. Not that it was a hard/overly technical job!
I would have thought that if you buy/obtain some SS tube as per the dimensions on the website, the action of pushing in the new tubing will displace the 1/2 sleeves? Need to check with previous owner if maybe the 1/2 sleeves had a weld tack - or something?

I cant decide whether to swap my straight through CCC cans for some part sleeved or original ones. My car is very loud and most of the time its fine, but on a long motorway run there is a horrible drone at about 80mph.
On the plus side the pops and bangs sound like an evening in Tripoli whilst NATO play with all their toys
Edited to add
Full pops and bangs appear to come at around 2900 rpm on the over run, when the engine and exhaust are very hot this is quite a noisy affair. Just easing off from 80mph on tyhe motorway creates the effect nicely

I have some very nice original unsleeved s Type cans if you want to do a swap for a while. Only just put them on, if not I'm going to sleeve them!
I thought that the S had a bigger diameter exhaust? I am slightly nervous about taking mine off as I have just had the back boxes reinforced after the previous owner split the welds taking the old cans off.But I am temped to try them, or maybe I should just come for a ride in your car

I still have my Titanium cans that I havent yet sold, so I may try those too.

Tuscan S exhaust are only larger in diameter from the cats to the back boxes, the end cans are the same. But I am temped to try them, or maybe I should just come for a ride in your car

Why not just leave the cans as they are and remove the back-boxes if you want more noise :-

Advanced Automotive Systems of Newcastle did mine, replacing the boxes with a straight through tube with new hanging brackets, all in stainless for a reasonable £170. Once they're off you can't go back as the system needs to be cut, but then again who wants to go backwards....

I might just take mossy up on that offer.....
I just looked at the titanium cans and although titanium usually would give me a boner i think i this case the carbon looks better, obviously not sure about the sound though.
What do the ccc cans sound like?
I just want a loud thunder type sound, not too deep like a peco big bore on a capri ghia

Now I like that idea, my rear cans are all beat up anyway.Advanced Automotive Systems of Newcastle did mine, replacing the boxes with a straight through tube with new hanging brackets, all in stainless for a reasonable £170. I bought a Tuscan 2S from Racing Green a few weeks ago and thought my one sounded a bit on the quiet side too.....not now though......as she is now de-catted and wearing a set of new unsilenced Carbon Company Cans.....if you like loud, this is the way to go.....not forgetting the pops and bangs....i feel like a naughty school boy when i'm giving it a bit of welly...

I guess it depends on what noise you like..... it certainly does not sound like no boy racer car. I tried just de-catting with standard cans first but felt it still didn't quite have the sound i wanted.
If you like a loud howling purr with pops and bangs i don't think you will be dissapointed....i'm not!!!

Been out playing today and was around town visiting some friends....i have been told my exhaust sounds far too loud....was told it is spoiling the sound of the engine.....now i am unsure myself....i did read somewhere that it might sound better with the cats in when running with CCC'S...think i might try putting the cats back in and see what the sound is like then....must admit..my ears are still ringing a bit....
