Griff v Audi RS4 ??

I've been challenged. Straight line performance. Should I be confident or do I need to drive like a God ? (having not driven an RS4 in anger I need to know).

I've had the same challenge from a friend. Not sure I think it would be close, depends on how committed and the getaway.

Rolling start, keep traction, nice gear changes. Should do the job. Depends if it's been 'mapped' or modded. They can be made to produce some crazy numbers.

Audi is standard as far as I know.

Eta. The other contender ( on my side for this challenge, is a good mate in his 4.7 V8 Vantage ). Should be interesting !!

Which RS4?

I think he will eat you alive if it is a new one. Add one corner and you would not know which way it went.

Don't put too much money on it

Both standard a 500 will murder a RS4 in a straight line, the RS4 is nearly 600kg heavier, as for round a track that depends on the nut behind the wheel.

I think it will win higher up the range but not off the line. You know there are many things that will beat it at Vmax and that includes GTRs and 997 Turbo S's the way they put the power down in amazing and then...... there is me

Hi Paul all well thanks,

I can honestly say nothing has beaten my 500 in 1st and 2nd gears at Vmax, above 80mph the really quick stuff will then take off, Ford GT/ Carrera GT/ modded cars etc but the Griff is awesome and so easy to get off the line, unlike my Sagaris which is a nightmare and just spins its bloody wheels in 1st and 2nd.

I think you may be getting carried away slightly.. There are plenty of 4wd cars that are quicker off the line than a 500, 996/7 Turbo/ GTR/ RS6, I love Griff's as much as anyone but to suggest it will MURDER the RS4 is simply not true, Although Im sure it wou;ld be very close either way.

Both are quick cars so I think it will mainly be down to driver skill.

Del in his griff 500 was quicker than me in my B5 RS4 at vmax, quicker off the line and then above about 140 I seem to recall i pulled him back and ended up going a bit quicker.

My RS4 had about 425bhp and the griff was still quicker so off the line I'd put my money on that.
