FL2 Was looking to buy GS/XS/SE but a great S has popped up.

As above, ive been been the look-out for a good 2007/2008 Freelander 2, GS/SE/XS but yesterday a nice July 09
with stop / start, S Model, and nice miles popped up within budget £15k which seems great value.
Still 18 months warranty etc
Should i hang on for the GS or above spec
I wont be off roading but do have a 10-20 mile country road commute everyday,
Does the lack of snow/mud settings affect the FL2 much during winter?
Im not worried about leather or Nav etc
