The Jackson Sportster looks like a derivative of the original GTM of the 60-70's but with fixed doors

I dont think it was Inspired... looks far too close for that in my opinion. Not the first time, ask Westfield.
Having said that the rules here are crazy and you almost have to re-engineer a car to get it on the road, its rarely like importing a vehicle and just putting it on the road.

I agree its based on the old Cox GTM. Really a copy not inspired by its essentially the same.
Owned several in the past. Along with umpteen other Minis and Mini derivatives.
The Cox GTM was a very interesting derivative of the Mini really excellent handling superb cars.
As an aside I studied the Westfield case and the subsequent South African case involving Caterham again and a dispute on 7 copyright, years ago.
Caterham lost that case. Makes very interesting reading.
Copyright is a very peculiar area of the law. Highly convoluted and not simple to appreciate nor easy to follow the logic(?) in the decisions made in court.
