My BMW Z4 Coupe Sport Si
Discussion
Just recently bought a black BMW Z4 Coupe Si Sport with red leather, as I fancied a change from the VX220 Turbo I had before. I've had 6 VX220s over the past 5 or so years (for various reasons I had to get rid but always went back) but I have always wanted a Z4C since they first came out. I found one that was within my price range so I popped down to have a look and ended up leaving a deposit there and then. I got it for a steal, and although it has high miles they're all motorway miles and has FBMWSH which was the deal breaker.
It drives so much more smoothly than the VX and of course the build quality is far far superior than a handbuilt car from Norfolk. Nothing has come off in my hand yet, it doesn't leak and I don't break my back getting in and out! It really is too difficult to compare them as the VX was remapped to 240bhp and 275lb-ft of torque and as it weighed next to nowt so the acceleration was comparable to a motorbike! The Z4C is much more of a GT and at times doesn't feel like a sports car. I had a 350z briefly but the running costs were extortionate and I could not justify keeping it. I thought that was luxurious but of course anything will be compared to a little plastic s
tbox!
