2.5 failed on emission today even after a really good warmup and advised by garage could be worth changing lambda censor the car has had cat back urban exhaust and fuel pump and is running the original ecu and will be upgrading to mbe soon when funds permit but for now any advice and censor part number would be appretiated and if all else fails does a mix of fuel / injector cleaner get over the problem for the time being until The ecu is changed

Emissions can be a bh. I find it easier to find a nice mot guy ;-)

If you are running the original ECU then I think you will find you have no way of passing emissions now without the help of the MOT man.

May I suggest you contact Ray West at Ray west tuning as he may have a way or getting into the ECU?

I think you will find they are about £200 each from Ford dealers, NGK (NTK) do one for about £70

Thanks for the replies fitting the sensor tomorrow and will try the re test in the week but not holding to much hope so will go the injector cleaner route aswell and cross fingers it does the trick .

Do you have any more info, like the values they measured vs. what is allowed? The measurements may help give a better idea of what's out of spec, what to look for, and how to proceed...
