Car is a 2008 E91 with Business satnav. I can pair two phones with it (personal iPhone 3GS and work Blackberry Curve) but only 1 ever seems to be active. For example, they are both paired, but the iPhone is at the top of the list on the display and takes priority. So if I get a call on the iPhone, the bluetooth works and, but if it's a call on the BB only the handset rings.

Is this right? Multiple phone pairing seems a bit of a waste of time if this is the case!

Thanks

You can only use one paired phone at a time, as I understand it - multiple pairing simply means it'll pair with either without needing to type in codes etc each time.

It means my wife and I can pair our phones, I put mine as priority in my car and hers in her car, that way the correct phone is always paired as I never drive her car when both of us are in there and vice versa.

I don't know of any system that can pair both at once??

As yet, I don't think the currently installed oem BMW systems offer simultaneous active bluetooth pairing.

I've recently resolved my need for my personal and business phones to be available simultaneously for around £37 !

It's called a Supertooth Buddy !

another bonus is that you can take it from car to car smile

Cheers, Dennis!
