Seemed to be a fair few Tamoras there! Especially red ones for some reason.
Great day out.
Fantastic to see four Typhons all lined up.

Me to but there were two reflex charcoal and an orange one. The silver one was a T440.

The Orange one (the only one to have at one time been fitted with a superoharger and sequential box) and the T440 have just been recommissioned so that's it all four on the road.(

(They're all T440s really as the Typhon was meant to be supercharged)

Only one is registered as a T440R - its Janes Silver one. She is very keen to stress this, it is 1 of 1. hehe

The others are all registered as Typhon as far as I know. thumbup

Out of interest, what wheels are they all running? The Orange Typhon runs something slightly different from the 'normal' typhon wheels, and Jane's looks to be completely different still? I quite like the Orange Typhon wheels. smile

Until the DVLA agree to change them as far as I understand it they're all actually registered as a Sagaris.

Also if we're splitting hairs (and we are) we all know they're the same cars in essence so it matters not what they're called really, but Jane is correct as hers is a T440 and so are the other two. Only the Orange one can really call itself a Typhon as I said above it is the only one to run the 'Typhon spec' of a supercharger and sequential.

All that said I don't really care smile

Too right, whilst I find the gearbox/engine set up more than interesting what I really love about this car is the shape. You even caught me oggling the orange offside rear in one of the photos. I find I prefer the slightly longer wheel base cars, and whilst I like the Tuscan, this has really hit the spot for me. I hadn't really expected it as I have seen them in books before, but they are really special - stating the obvious, even compared to the Speed 12 (which is a very different beast).

Someone was saying there may be another one (same shape!) in Europe somewhere -as always the factory stats seem to be a bit hit and miss, but I guess that makes it all a bit more interesting. Apparently one of them was recently sold for £100k too

Here are a couple of my shots from the trackside.

Sadly I missed the track while the Holden Team Racing car and the other LS Sag went out. Apparently the RG new FFF engined demo did rather well on the track against them. Anyone see it?

I managed to watch both outings quite keenly.

It would certainly appear that 2011 is the coming of age of this engine. It's a shame that PW couldn't have seen the result of 2 or 3 firms hard work on it.

the fff engined car was going very well, but with only 3 or 4 cars out at that time, and spaced fairly well apart there were no obvious differences, but it didn`t sound like a tuscan at all, very smooth sounding I thought.

That sounds like quite an endorsement for the RG ofeering, doesn't it? The two LS cars are putting out big numbers I thought, and someone said (may be untrue) that it made the fastest lap time.

No racing, I overheard talk on the RG stand that someone from the tower had told them the FFF demo had the fastest lap, this wasn't at end of day though, it was in the afternoon though.

So you're saying RG's demo car is quicker than the Holden Team race car !

That's what everyone there on the day saw. There is no debate to be had over what happened and was seen. The debate is maybe to be had as to why.
