How's this for high miles?

My mate put over half a million on his old ('80s) Peugeot diesel estate when he used it as a taxi and a tow barge for classics. More impressively, my neighbour has just changed the rear shoes on his 7.5tonner for the first time...at 220,000! Don't know if this is normal for one of them but it impressed me, having said that I'm not sure if he ever uses the brakes on it...

Wouldn't be overly unusual in a courier van Berlingo. Very strong engines and if well serviced and not abused will do that happily.

Many couriers try wring a good 300k plus before even thinking about a change a year down the line

Rough calculations, 7 Years at 484,000 = 69000ish so 1300 miles a week which is roughly 180 a day if driven for seven days a week. These are rough calculations not exact ones.

Exactly - as a Taxi or courier that'll be 69k per year from new, lots on motorways having an easy life. It's the same I was covering as a courier.

I've got 434500 on a 92 BMW E36 320i. Just with regular servicing. Same drivetrain and engine never opened. Look after the car and it will look after you I say.
