As much as I like to own an Ultima, I'll pass on this one. I have read numerous issue regarding this GTR on his blog. Moreover, the interior looks poor quality and the materials used doesn't look consistent.

$50k and someone is worried about the fit and finish on the interior? Start adding up the costs of the parts and you will be by 50 in 0 minutes flat. No I have not a clue who owns this, but at 50k if I was looking for a used GTR the interior would be on the bottom of my lists of concearns. Lee

If you have put so much money and time into putting the car together, why would you do a half ass job in the interior? To me, every little detail counts and it could translate to other issues within the car. That in which leads to more money out of my pocket. As mentioned in my earlier posting, I have read numerous issues with this GTR mentioned in the owner's blog. I'm guessing the issues and the time/fiddling lead him to sell the car. Let me ask this to Ultima owner's, do you have to constantly fiddle with issues? Moreover, I'm looking for a car that can be driven any time, weather permitted without constantly worrying about something going wrong.

never a dull moment and only as reliable as the engine.

Very easy car to maintain and basic non ecu, non abs, no power steering.. buy it, its a bargain and if you need to retrim the interior, well gives you something to do over winter..

As for an everyday all weather car... mmm upto you, I have an old daily driver and an ultima as a special car for a special smile..

Who gives a flip about what the interior looks like. There are several great photos on the sellers website that reveal a good quality build.

It just sold for 53K USD. Stunning deal. The economy here is about to really tank and this is a sign of it.

I wouldn't really be too concerned with this example and values in general... if you looked closely at the rear clip/diagonal brace photo theres evidence of some paint...and not really showroom finish stuff . This along with a few other easily spotted details would indicate a more track-build quality .. maybe the sale price reflects this quite well ?
Dont be too down on your quality home builds' end value....tis worth what someone will pay for what they see !

d3vine, you have been around this forum long enough to know that that there is always fiddling going on with these cars. Start adding all the other stuff you have mentioned over the years, like ceramic brakes, magnesium wheels and any other gadget that has been mentioned in motorsport that you think we should have then you would have spent way in excess of your 50k.... If you want production then buy a production car, but you won't get this performance for that money.
