As the title says really...

I have another thread which has seemed to has run it's course about an oil leak I am suffering:

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a... (sorry if I'm breaking the rules by linking it)

The car is leaking oil down the back of the engine at an alarming rate and I'm wondering if its coming from the head gasket.

I have checked the following and eliminated them as a suspect:
- Rocker Cover gasket
- Turbo oil feed
- Turbo oil return
- Various other oil feeds

I had a service 3 weeks ago and since then have put 3 litres of oil in to keep it topped up!!

I just can't figure out where it's coming from rage

Thanks guys!
Mike

Yes it can,it all depends on where the head gasket fails, near a water jacket then you can get oil and water mixing, near the cylinders then loss of compression, but it can fail and just loose oil .... could be anything without a proper inspection.

Sounds like head gasket, if you let the oil run low it will soon die. Just keep feeding it oil.

All the TU engines do it on the front left corner, it's just poor design and age.

It's whether it's an economical repair or not.
