Yesterday at Englishtown, Melanie Troxel's first two competition passes in ex-Roger Burgess turbo 'Vette:

5.808 / 257.33
5.800 / 258.71

Two quickest and fastest NHRA Pro Mod passes ever.

What might today have in store?

That's not definate. What needs to be remembered is that the NHRA are not likely to make a knee jerk reaction due to the performace at one event. Everyone is running fast this weekend and the Nitrous cars are too. If it wasnt for Melanie's numbers everyone would be creaming over Mike Castellana's 5.82.

The nirtous cars are still the story of this season and have have given everyone who jumped on the turbo band wagon over the close season something to think about.

Any turbo performance reduction would need to be applied to the nitrous cars too. Having said that the R2H2 turbo Corvette would have probably got better results so far this year with a better driver on board, hence the switch to melanie.

No, when you have door cars running close to the terminals of Top Alcohol FC you need to restrict that. Pro Mod is the NHRA's next accident waiting to happen.

Sarcasm, everytime the blower cars went faster they slowed them down, now the hairdryers and bottles are going quick you can be damn sure blower cars won't get any help....

Thats just downright rude. By all means disagree, but no need to get rude about it.

Wow. Was it not you stating people were not allowed to make opinions on here last week or so?

The double standards are strong with this one...

I'd pay good money to see you having the conversation about the "1000ft rubbish" with an American bloke called Conrad Kalitta... my guess is you wouldn't walk away from the conversation under your own power mate.

SO....back on topic...

Personett matches Melanie's 5.772 in 1st round, wonder if he can better it in round 2?

Plus Castellana goes 5.781 in a nitrous car!

The nitrous cars matching the turbo cars for ET is what has been really interesting this season, it has made for great race days. They are running some really quick numbers to 330ft after which the turbo cars really start hauling ass.

Its so close at the stripe.

Wasn't there two incidents in the first round of pro mod. 1 car scraping the wall and another rolling.
