can't find a carbon black manual M3 cab 2003-2005 help pls
Discussion
after a carbon black manual M3 convertible with up to 55k miles between 2003 to 2005. needs to have had running in service, a good amount of stamps and paperwork and history. Not fussy about spec
some have smg, some too many miles, some too old, some too overpriced. 2 have sold recently that I have missed out on, a black one with kiwi leather for nearly 12k and another one.
does anyone know of one for sale for up to £12500 and is this right money, too much or too little do you think. I think it seems about right for what ones are selling for.
ideally it'd be a 2004 onwards M cab with satnav and HK with 19's for about £12k but who knows.
if you are thinking of selling please can you let me know by replying to this - i can't receive emails atm.
thanks all

I would be prepared to pay a bit more than £12k for a nice one if i was you. Also the golden rule when buying one of these as im sure anyone here will tell you is buy on condition and potential upcoming costs rather than milage.some have smg, some too many miles, some too old, some too overpriced. 2 have sold recently that I have missed out on, a black one with kiwi leather for nearly 12k and another one.

When i bought my M3 cab it had 40+k miles on the clock,3 others i looked at were all in the late 20k miles(4 yrs ago) and were not a patch on the one i ended up buying. If you can buy a tidy car with low miles then so much the better but they wear their miles well and i wouldn't let a slightly higher milage car put you off.

all good point and I agree entirely! It's for my brother who disagrees with me though sadly. i'd rather have a 60-70k miler that has had discs/pads etc and have one bought on condition but alas my bro disagrees!
I'm toying with the idea of selling mine. I plan to keep it for another year but may sell if I get a respectable offer. However, if your budget is around £12500 then with the greatest respect, mine will outside your budget as it falls within the upper end of the market.
Its an 05 manual in Carbon Black with red leather and full BMW/Mondial warranty until november 2011 (top cover with zero excess and can be renewed either yearly or monthly). Its done 36K with full BMW history (never been outside BMW network) and no expense spared. I'm the second (mature)owner and have had it for around two and a half years (bought from BMW Sytner at 27K miles). It has factory widescreen satnav (updated with latest maps/post code search) and TV (digital TV not just analogue like the earlier models so won't be redundant come the big switch over), bluetooth, heated front seats, Harman Kardon hifi, 19" alloys plus all the standard spec.
Its a second car and I just don't use it enough (done around 9K since I bought it!), my main car is used for work and everyday stuff, the M3 is more of a nice weather/weekend car. When I do get around to selling it I plan to buy a westfield or something more "raw" that will be more suitable as a weekend "toy".
Next service due is an Inspection II (due in around 7K miles). This will be carried out by the supplying main dealer before any sale completes so the new owner won't have any upcoming bills to worry about (and hence why I originally planned to keep it until next summer as this service isn't due for some time, even going by the time based interval rather than mileage).
If you're interested I can give you full details. Its not "officially" for sale, just happens you're looking for the exact spec of my car so thought I would see what happens

Let him have the 50/50 risk that he'll either buy a nice example or a potential moneypit! you've done your bit in explaining how it should go on condition and evidence of history, if he doesn't agree, let him take the risk!i'd rather have a 60-70k miler that has had discs/pads etc and have one bought on condition but alas my bro disagrees!
Cheers, Dennis!
