Disaster has struck.

I am about to sell my car, and the bloody service book has vanished. The car had a full history when I bought it, from 2 garages in Perth I think, and since I have had it I had it serviced at a local garage.

Is there any way I can get a duplicate as proof of the work being carried out? Is there anything I can do?

I have a sneaking suspicion that it has either become lost in "the cupboard" full of many bits of paper, or it has been misplaced at the garage it went to for the MOT as I have not seen it since then.

Any ideas, or am I screwed?

I think you can get it from the dealer if it was computerised.

The dealer as in the local garage I bought it from, or call up Ford themselves?

I think it depends who has serviced it. If it's been serviced by a main Ford dealer, a Ford dealer will be able to print it off.

First thing you need is a replacement service book - your dealer can arrange one of these, at a cost...

Then you need to replace the stamps - that means finding the dealers who did the work and getting them to re-stamp the book.

They'll be happy to do if the dealer still exists in some form and either you can show paperwork to back-up them doing the work (service invoices - basically) OR they have a computerised system which tracked work done on your car...

So I'd start looking through the cupboard tbh...
