maybe this has been addressed already some times but I could not find an answer yet. What type/brand of ECU is installed in the early 2000 Tuscans and is it possible to change its mapping (fule, Spark...). For most ECUs nowadays there are some software packages available which allow dowing adjustents on fueling for example. Does somthing similar exsist for the Tuscan ECU? I am not after the diagnostics ti read out error codes.
Reasons for changing the maps is that part throttle behaviour is not optimal, not really a problem but it does not rev up freely at part throttle. Full throttle is perfect. I guess some modifications require a retuning of the ECU, which probably has not been done (properly). Any help apprechiated.

Hi

The ecu is an MBE unit, hidden under the steering wheel. There is software available from MBE but TVR/MBE disabled the option to map under their supply contract. TVR Power can map and a few others so must be possible, but besides that I have drawn a blank,

Have a look at Syvecs available from Racing Green. Their car at Goodwood today made others look like going backwards; of course, the driver helped...

iisn't this the package with an Omex ECU? I must admit, I'd rather use a different aftermarket ECU once I would make the step to thowing the original one out. It is not plug and play anyway, so rerouting cables would be required too, although in case of going for a different package I would have to do the loom and mapping myself (which is OK).
I have got the feeling that my engine runs rich in several situation. Will go to a dyno to check what's it like now. I don't think it puts down the power it should do. Relativ to other cars I own I guess it is in the 300hp range but not much higher.

Sounds like something wrong rather than just a mapping issue? Have you checked throttle bodies for play, lambdas etc etc?
