José Rosinski, long time racer, car tester, broadcaster, and journalist, died on 3rd June. Perhaps unknown in the UK, but here in France a legend for his humour, his kindness, his ability to wring the best out of any car with consummate ease and above all a superb journalist died peacefully. We started our annual rally at Evian on the 23rd May, José, despite being very ill, deciding to join us and participate for as many days as he could. Being weak, he couldn't drive his XK120 any more so brought his Ferrari Dino, far more comfortable and easier to drive. I followed him up the winding roads the next day, his style still so fluid yet fast, never a brake light to be seen. At the end of several days he could no more, and the ambulance was called to take him to hospital. As he was helped out, he took time to pat his Dino before entering the ambulance, as if he himself knew he would see it no more.

Farewell José; I didn't know you that well, but you will be sadly missed. My memories of our "duel" in the Alps 2003 remains.

I know you're in France but I noticed your posts about the XJ13.

We are holding a private charity event for Pistonheads members at the Children's Hospice just outside Bristol on Saturday 9th July.

We have over 350 great cars attending so far including vintage, classic and modern sports and supercars. We also have some superb raffle prizes.

See here:

I have always loved the XJ13 so I hoped to find one to come to the event - do you know anyone in the UK? I am also looking for any interesting classic or modern racing/ rally / road car.
