Hi All,

New to PistonHeads But hear very good things. :-)

At present I have a Fiesta ST and I have been thinking for a while now that I need a change and I was talking to a friend of mine and he suggested as I'm young (26) No Kids etc... why not look in to getting a Caterham or a Westfield while I still can :-p

I will have about £5/6k (ish) to play with and I don't need to drive it to work. I would really like something I could Sprint/Hill Climb/Track Day too.

So I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions as what I should look at? I'm open to any ideas.

Thanks
Adam :-)

You could get an mr2 roadster for around 3-4k then spend the rest on turbo charging it.. just a thought.

It's not really even going to be close though is it? :-(

I'd say go for it, maybe a westfield or something (to get a better car for the budget), but you should be able to pick up something reasonable anyway.

I'd make sure you read into them properly, and buy with an open but clear mind; don't buy with your eyes closed. I'm not well up on kit cars but what about building a Locost? If your circumstances allow, as this will be good value and fullfilling and they have an active following running events. All this is shown in the book published by haynes. As for costs I'm not sure but I bet there is someone who does wink.
