Just out of curiosity, what is the replacement cost for front discs and pads, and rear discs and pads from a BMW dealer?

also, shouldn't the front brakes be worn first? on Idrive it's saying the rears are in need of replacement 2-3k miles sooner than the fronts. is that normal?

thanks

I costed up the parts, for all 4 disks and matching pads you get little change from £1000.

thanks. so after labour it's going to be about £1300 or more i suppose. also getting an oil change, that'll be a pricey service hehe

Hi Ross,

I would have expected the rears to be slightly less worn than the fronts, it should have more bias at the front.

If you want to save money buy the parts from bmwminiparts.com and get an indy to fit them or try a diy, it's not so difficult.

40300. never been tracked. it's saying approx 2000 for rears, and 5000 for fronts. might as well get both done at same time.

thanks.

Agree as it should save you a packet.I use indy for wear and tear parts as friend owns one and main dealer for anything that could involve warranty ie oil servive etc.
