Oh yes, go and catch some real criminals, I pay your wages etc, etc. blabla

Enjoy your car, the good weather and quality roads, but don't moan if you get caught doing something you shouldn't!

I'm sure a very large percentage of PHers have broken the speed limit at some time in their lives. I think those who get caught feel agrieved sometimes that whilst they might have been speeding, where they were doing it wasn't dangerous, and Plod could just give you a warning, but prefers to 'keep his numbers up' and 'improve the level of contributions/funding' of the police force/treasury, whilst lots of other crimes happen which the police have no interest at all trying to solve or prevent.

IMHO !

I tend to agree. There was a period of time when an individual was threatening me and my family, making obscene and threatening phone calls etc. (btw the individual thought I was someone else) Basically despite being provided with recorded a video evidence the police did nothing until the individual attacked me in the street.

Interestingly, I often saw the officers who said they would act, but didn't manning speed traps on a relatively safe bit of dual carriageway where speeders are easy meat (South Wales Police)

Oh dear oh dear, hear we go again!

Let's attack somebody for doing there jobs! Let's have a go at the butcher next for cutting up the cow instead of the pig you want, or the workman for digging up the street one along from you rather than the one that has the pot hole!

If you were speeding, you were breaking the law! Yes we all speed, some people too much but if you do it, you have a chance of getting caught!

Man up, take it on the chin and stop crying about it!

So is it breaking the law or isn't it? Are the police there to detect crime? That would mean they have done there job would it not?

Another one rolleyes

Why is it people want the police to do what they're paid to do until they get caught doing something they shouldn't be doing? If/when I get caught speeding I sure as hell won't be pissing and moaning about it on the internet or abusing people who point out the bleeding obvious.

No it isn't, that's why you will receive a Fixed Penalty Notice. Unless of course you were doing 90 past a primary school.

Of course you can choose to go to court and explain how your drive out was spoiled by others. rofl

Were you speeding? yes.

Sorry but if i get caught its no ones fault other then my own.

Seems some people need to grow up and take responsibility for there action, and stop blaiming others.

If you were not speeding Mr Plod wouldn't have stopped you. end of!!!!!!

Oh and when will the spelling police grow up, luckily we are not all so anal!!!!!!

Doh highlighted the wrong one, thats what I get for being a smart arse.

Or I could have said that I highlighted both as the same word was used twice, once in the correct context and once out of context

Trick is not to get caught.
Ive only had about 60 points including 3 bans in my 26 years of careful motoring.
I must have got away with thousands smile

What annoys me is where the Police sit to catch you... Not in potential danger areas....But on the boundary of a 30-50 mph change or as last week with me on a 2 mile straight uphill 2 lane stretch but with no central reservation checking who knows the National speed limits frown .
