It is on a turntable I made using Linn parts, and an off board Valhalla psu, on a rosewood plinth. I want to sell it, but need a value and details of the arm.
Anyone know about these things?

I don't know anything about this arm, but it looks similar to the SME 3009 arm in this link:

They seem to have a bit of a following judging by the quick bit of googling I've done, no idea how this translates into it's current value though.

It looks like a SME 3009 series 2, with a detachable headshell. They are quite sought after and would fetch about £100 nowadays but wouldn't really know. Last one I had was an Improved model (which some people don't like) and gave that and the turntable away to a mate iirc.

I can tell you that the anti-skating device (the guide wire, bias weight etc) is on the wrong side of the arm (it should be on the left hand side, nearer the platter) and so won't work properly as it is.

Here's a great guide to find exactly which version it is..

Great tonearms, even now.

Yes, it looks like a really badly set up 3009/II, which commonly sells for around £100

It's all been said. Good arms.
