Looks like most of the regs for 2103 have been decided, although we could hopefully at least have a delay in the introduction of the 4 pot engines.

What bugs me about these regs though is the increase of the minimum weight yet again. The cars have increased from 605kg to 660kg in the space of a few years - i really don't get the logic and don't see the benefit.

Surely if efficiency is the aim then this is counter productive??? 66kg is way too heavy for an F1 car!

Making things really lightweight is expensive. They've got more stuff to pack into the cars these days.

I would of thought the teams will still make the car as light as they possibly can. This will give them increased flexibility in set up by being able to more more ballast around the car.

If this is the case then increasing the minimum weight does nothing to reduce costs.
