Scrapping a Primera

Anyone know what the current scrap value of a 98 primera would be?

I believe the current value of cars is £150 on Cartakeback.com. That certainly is the easiest way to scrap a car as they come and collect.

Scrapped an identical car last month, R plate Primera hatch, 2.0se. Took it to the local scrappy with a weigh bridge and got £163 for it.

well if it's a dog then i'd agree with the £150-£200 mark for scrapping. I had a '99 gt and had to replace a headlamp, cheapest I could find was second hand at £40 so if you had the time and inclination you could maybe make a bit more by removing and selling parts.

I sold an MX5 for scrap collected this morning for £70. It had no front & rear bumpers, no front wings, no roof, no seats, no wiring, no inlet or exhaust manifolds, starter, alternator, lights etc. Basically the just the shell and drive train.

I've just scrapped an Almera via cartakeback and they gave £170.
Easiest money ever, you don't even need to be there when they come and pick it up, they just bung a cheque through your door.

I'm aware of their reputation for silly offers. If scrap is possibly only £150 theres a chance even with the fee that they could offer more.

Just bung it on your local Gumtree or something for £400 or £500, there's plenty of folk wanting a car just to run for a couple of months, if its still got test on it then someone would buy it. Give them a reciept saying "sold as seen" and then its off your hands with you probably £300-400 better off after haggling.
