Its the MOT tomorrow and the only fault I can find is NS headlight has a bit of red eye. No one locally has a reflector in stock.

Is this likely to be a MOT failure? It covers about the bottom quarter of the reflector.

Worth a try but i would say its a fail. Temp fix till you find a replacement would be some foil tape

I had this last year for the MOT, the reflectors a bit rusty.

They just gave me an advisory that the reflectors were corroded but, the light was still within acceptable standards.

If you are worried, try to whip the light out and paint it silver, or cover area with foil.

It will have to be a quick fix now, I just bought some Lupo units of eBay. They where cheaper than a new reflector.

Testers discretion and how good the light output is scratchchin chances are it will be a pass & advise wink just try and make sure you have not got other problems that you could easily fix like bulbs out,no windscreen washers etc otherwise he will just group the lot together and give you a fail sheet eek good luck wink

My reflectors just got through this year's MOT by the skin of their bulbs. I did want to get them replaced but workshop time was too short though I'm getting a few paint bits done later in the year and they suggested that was a good time to get te headlights done.

I meant a quick fix to get it through the MOT. I intend to spend at least a weekend on the Lupo conversion (plus a couple of other small jobs).
