Lost Key - need a replacement - options?!

Hi All,

I lost one of the keys to my Range Rover (TD6) at the weekend - no biggy, I had the spare

However, I came online today to try and see if I can find a company who offer a service of a replacement key and it seems like a bit of a debarcle up to this point!

Was just wondering if anyone could recommend a company who offer such a service? I know I can go to the main dealer and get one cut, but apparently this can take up to 4 weeks, and can work out to be really expensive - I am hoping there is an alternative...

If there is a specialist out there, it would be great to know about it!

Perhaps ring around a few independent specialists; they should be able to do the job but probably at a slightly better price. Having looked into this recently too, I discovered Timpson offer this service too but you need to go in to see if they can do it for your key - I think they have certain stores that offer this so worth checking.

I think I may have to bite the bullet and ring Land Rover to get one ordered - I am sure this will be a pleasurable experience
