Best clothes washer/dryer?
Discussion
Hi folks thought I would ask if anyone could point me in the right direction re the above? I've googled it and can only find advertised sites with no real reviews.
Need it for a rental property so reasonably priced but also need it to be reliable as I'm going to have to pay for any maintenance.
Not a very Pistonheads type question but you can generally find anything here!
Thanks.

Two brigades here.
1) The Miele brigade. 'I've got one and use it every day and it's great after 400 years'
2) The Cheapo brigade. 'I got a Bonko for £9.95 and it's OK so far'

On a serious note, I have a rental property and was advised to put the white goods outside the contract. The tenant can use them for free as a favour; if they break, too bad. Brilliant!

I look after about 200 washing machines (letting agent!) so for what it's worth;
If you've got the cash, buy a Miele with a 10 year guarantee. On a budget, Hotpoint seem to top our reliability charts. Washer/Dryers are notoriously expensive to keep going so avoid if you're able.
Don't buy a rubbish extended warranty, use a decent repair company and buy the machine from a proper shop, not a chain. If you have a problem during the guarantee period, it'll get sorted faster.
More and more Landlords are not providing machines but at the moment, they're still in the minority.
Good luck!
