Good moaning everyone.
Right then, I'm fully comp on my car and my Grandad is fully comp on his car. I have a longish journey coming up soon and my Grandad says I can use his car as it's better for longer/motorway journeys than mine.

With his permission would I be covered at all to drive his car?
It's nothing fancy, just a newish Fietsa that will be better on a motorway than a 4 speed Mini.

The answer to this will be found inside your insurance documents.

Bear in mind that even if your policy does cover you whilst driving other cars, it will be on a third party basis only ie you bend it, you mend it..

My insurance will let me temporarily add a driver- maybe your grandads policy will let him add you for a day or two?

Yeah third party is okay, he doesn't mind. Already told him it will only be that if I can take his car.
