Computer advice needed please.......
Discussion
Hi all,
Being a bit of a numptie when it comes to computers, I have just last week bought a new HP, which I am very pleased with, but every few times I click on a message on Yahoo, a box keeps coming up in the middle of the screen saying...
SECURITY WARNING
Do you want to install and run Macromedia Flash player 7? This free player is required to visit the website you are visiting........
Then at the bottom, there are three boxes..
YES.....NO......MORE INFO.
I am of course very wary of these unsolicited messages, why would I need to install this to view the site when I was on it already????
I kept clicking the cross in the top right hand corner, and also "NO" , but it keeps reappearing every few minutes....
How do I get rid of it????
All advice gratefully received.........

The website is using flash as part of its content.
The way flash works is that you have the software and they tell it to pull the content.
In summary click YES when that box comes up because you are missing the latest Flash IE plugin, if you want that website to work.
OK thanks for that, I owe you a beer....
