Disc Temperature Paint Kit

Have you got a DTI to check for warpage? You seem to have loads of judder on the brakes. In lieu of a DTI an Allen key and a big glob of bluetack lets you do a similar thing. Have you checked for any hairline cracks in the rotors too? I can bring a DTI down to Brands if needed

Yes I have one, going to the workshop tonight to measure it.Regards

The only thing I've changed though is the pads, but was thinking the callipers may be sticking as they are not working on a different part of the piston.
Esp as the brakes are fine when cold, hence thinking they are over heating.
I'm going to try using the old pads at Brands to see if that helps as not really got any time to do anything else.
I check with a DTI, and a micrometer.
bells was 0.05mm out and edge of disc was 0.1mm out
There was a thickness variation of 27.75m and 27.85mm
This is the same as it was last time we measured them about 9 months ago, as I wrote the figures on the bells.
Also was only a problem as soon as I'd done a lap to two.
Only thing different is the pads, so going to put the old one's back in for Brands, as not got the time to do much else.

hi man, neil says we have a tempreture reader which will be on board along with your stickers and steering rack mountings.see you friday night
Hi Perry,I have a temperature Gun also, but the disc's will cool quite a bit, before being able to test them, plus the IR guns don't work too well on shinney surfaces, Burton Power do it, so looks like I'll pop over there tomorrow or Friday to get some. its a 3 paint set that change colour once a temp is reached, so you can work out your max temp.
I had a front brake judder under heavy braking last year and, on a visual inspection of my rotors, dicovered that one had a slight warp on only a quarter of one surface and only on the outside inch of the rotor. Changed both and they worked fine under testing at Goodwood last weekend.
