Everywhere I look I come across this car (not literally, ahem)

Now it's way outside my budget but it looks fantastic.....however 970 miles from new, thats got to be a worry surely?
Is this a good buy we think or a dissater awaiting some poor sod after forking out £28k?

Would it need a rebuild, most likely. Will it have done it any good sat around, most likely not. Would I still buy it, in a heartbeat.

Not surprised its been up for sale for a while, I would love it but only if I was prepared to have it rebuilt.
The S6 engines were still in the 'need improvement' phase back in 2001. Rebuilds were still very common (often multiple rebuilds for same engine)at this point.
I would hate to pay a premium only to be faced with the kind of bills you might expect from a well used but wanting example.

The fact that it's been on sale for a few years just goes to show that there are very few people in the market for a 'collectors' Cerbera. Most owners are true enthusiasts who get their enjoyment through using the cars. For that group there is just no sense in buying such a low mileage example at such a premium when it'll be in need of a rebuild anyway. You can get just as good examples that aren't in need of a rebuild for 2/3rds of the price.

3 of the 4 cerberas I know personally have required engines rebuilt..All AJP V8s,
oh and the 4th one is a Speed Six and still going strong.

The engine didn't break though did it? It was the Ford stuff bolted to it 
I wouldn't believe every thing a car dealer said anyway, he just told you that as he over priced it and couldn't shift it for months
Comments like that just encourage people to turn their TVRs into Corvettes..........
