This.

JFDI. Not worth the aggro to do it any other way.

i wouldn't blame the driver. a lot of lhd trucks simply don't have blind spot mirrors (there's no legal requirement for them in the UK) so they have no way of telling if you're there.

Queue that video of a lorry shunting a clio down a motorway in 3.. 2..

Wonderful, isn't it..? We have a speed-obsessed government for thirteen years and they can't even be bothered to get a simple piece of legislation through to remedy this serious problem.

Assuming you're fully comp of course. The faff factor of sorting out yourself when Poland is involved will be extreme.

If you have the name of his insurer, check on there. If you have his Green Card number you can also check.

Once you have the name of his Polish Insurer, you can then contact the name of their UK Representative. If you want any help, send me a PM. I used to deal with these types of claims every day.

Whatever you do dont go through your own insurers
( see recent thread in SP&L)
Contact the third party's insurers yourself or if you cant do it yourself try a reputable accident management co to sort it out, see threads on same
Its' a typical truck accident so should be no probs

yes he is. Check out the other avenues tomorrow morning then phone his insurer in the afternoon to say whats what and which way he's going to go. If the third party isnt going to play ball he may have to get it repaired through his own insurer ultimately

Just beware of them passing you off to their own accident management company. If you need an accident management company, pick one yourself and stay in control.

Use Anniesdad's company, he's on here and I've read pretty good reports of his company.

However if you're own insurance are doing a decent job then maybe better to stick with them.

Maybe worth a phonecall to see which method will bring the quickest and best results.
