Yes. They're great in the dry and not too bad in the wet IF driven carefully with a gentle right foot. They do wear a bit quicker than standard road tyres but that's the price you pay for the level of grip you get with this tyre. And they're even better when warmed up!
Do not, however, use them in winter as the rubber compound used in this tyre is simply not designed for freezing temperatures and they won't therefore provide much at all in the way of traction. E.g. I swapped mine over for Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetricals in Nov last year and put them back on again in April this year.

I have had r888's on another car and they were awesome. I would love them on the tuscan but theres a couple of things which put me off
soft rubber on a rwd car with nearly 400bhp is never ever going to last long on the rears
they have gone up a lot in price and are difficult to get at the minute due to the earthquake
they do need a little bit of heat in them to get going
you only get 5mm tread depth
They would probably be one of the best dry weather tyres you can buy though.
So taking into account the above i went for the new yoko ad08 which is not as aggresive as the 888 but more than pretty much any normal road tyre, you get a full 8mm tread, they are meant to be good in the wet (not that i go crazy in the wet) they held well at motorway speeds today in the pissing rain though.
The dry grip is very very good and i doubt it would be much noticible on the road. Similar design with steel inserts on the sidewalls so turn in is very good. They do need a bit of heat in them but doesnt take long.
Handling is now much more predictable and much nicer than my s
tty old goodyear f1's which must have been 3 years old with splitting rubber!
Noise seems good to me but thats another thing i dont care about in a car like this, any car with any half loud exhaust is loud anyway. I never noticed any tyre being exceptionally loud in any car i drove over the years.
If i get 5k out the rears i'll be very happy.
