Need to get hold of some rear tyres for the Cerb before next weekend (MOT time).

Has anyone bought 16inch rear tyres for the Cerb (245/45/16 from memory ?) recently, and where did they get the best price. I'm after either a pair of S02's or S03's (althoguh I don't think you can get S02's anymore).

Any suggestions ?

I went to micheldever and also had Laser alignment as well as S03s all round.
Total £450

I think the rears were about £116 each (balanced and fitted) in the same size as you request.
Check the pressures before you drive off though or go sideways out the gate like I did!

last time i needed tyres for the TVR (the S3) the fitters put about 35lbs in them. surely they must have a good idea of what each type of car has in the tyres

35 all round in the Griff.
Considering it only needs 24/22 then thats a bloody lot!

I though that perhaps they just whack this in for all cars but when i got the golf done the next week they put 31 in all round, which is almost correct.

There is a layby just done the road a bit thats easy to pull in and check too.
Micheldever tyres can get a tad busy and so no chance to really check the pressures when you are there.

Just had two rears on the Cerbie...

They put 40 psi in them. That made the drive somewhat exciting!

I'm a bit late with this, but Johnson Tyres (01978 844498) at Wrexham are as cheap as chips. They also do mail order.
