I've recently purchased a 330ci and I'm a little concerned that there appears to be no oil getting to the top of the engine - under the filler cap is pretty much dry. It had an oil service carried out by the garage I bought it from and the oil is nice and clean. Is this normal or should I be concerned?

Under the filler cap there is a baffle, so you can't see directly into the engine anyway. If it wasn't getting oil, you'd soon hear it.

Yea that's pretty much what I figured. There are no rattles other than a ticking from the injectors which I'm led to believe is normal too

This.

Keep an eye on the oil though, the M54's like to drink through them.
