Morning all,

The wife's C-max needs some new boots on the front. Any recommendations for good mid range Tyres?

I was going to go with falken 452's but not sure if the car would be too heavy for them?

What size? The CMAX goes from 16" to 18" on factory wheels?

For 16" tyres, it's hard to beat the Bridgestone Turanza ER300. I paid £80 for mine in 205-55-16. Considering they lasted twice as long as the £70 Hankook Ventus Primes I had on the car before, I think the extra £10 made sense. Fantastic gripping tyres too.

Uniroyal RainExpert isn't a bad tyre either, though they seem to wear as quick as the Hankooks.

I doubt the Falkens would struggle with the weight of a C-Max. I had them on my Octavia vRS and they were cracking tyres for the money.

My Focus is running 16s at the moment and had both the Uniroyal Rainsport 2s and the Vredestein Sportrac 3s on at the moment. I don't think there are any better wet-weather tyres out there for that price in that size!
