Abu Dhabi F1 Ticket Prices!
Discussion
Just so happens I have a holiday booked for Abu Dhabi the two weeks around the F1 weekend
The plan was to go and watch the Grand Prix as I've never been to one. Every year the place looks half empty, now I know why!! Cheapest ticket I can find is £309. That's a lot more epensive than the European tickets. I was thinking it would be cheaper out there.
Does anyone have any websites which offer cheaper tickets, we don't need a weekend pass, just the race day.
Any tips on where gets the best view of the track? Would like to be close to a TV screen, looks like everywhere does.

We were at the South grandstand 2 years ago in row 4 of the bottom tier. The location was excellent. We were right opposite a giant TV screen and were no more than 50' from the cars.
We got to see them coming flat out down the long curved straight (if that makes sense!) and then hard on the brakes through the chicanes before disappearing off under the hotel. As a location, I really couldn't fault it

You just missed the discount period, there was 20% off until the end of May. Sadly it is pretty pricey, but hey, that's F1. And you get a good couple of days out for the price - whole days of racing and gigs in the evening. The weather's great too.
We've been in the West Grandstand at the end of the long back straight for the past two years, which was a really good spot, but tickets for that, the Main and the North stands (the hairpin) are now sold out, so this year we'll be in the South.

Only two or three day tickets are available. It's expensive because it's the Middle East... and they will fill it on race day, so they can charge those prices. Go to any other race day and it will be free (I never paid to get into the Dubai Autodrome, and that included FIA GT and GP2 rounds) or it would be just a few quid.
I think the West stand, in the section with pit straight views is the best spot on the track.
