OK its our 2 Griffs so I knew it was going to happen. Got some decent pictures from it though.
Shame it wasn't a week earlier as they were handing them out FOC at Goodwood on Sunday.

Got it Paul. Nice Pics. Not bad article but should have mentioned. With camshaft change, new cam followers also needed. Some cams are ok for 100k miles. I had 50thou wear on a P6 V8 and it still ran ok with wear dished followers.

A P6? Hardly under much stress though.
I did have input in the write up but only had a couple of hours from work so couldn't change too much.

The P6 was ex Police car engine from a scrap yard, 10.5 compression, double valve springs!, 3.5 litres. A Christmas present to my son. We rebuilt it with rings and ends bits from RPI Norwich, Michegan push rods etc. Piper fast road cam, re needled SU carbs, SDI heads, 185bhp at wheels, 95octane + Millers (2 Oct+). No sensors, relays, ECU electronics etc. Into a TR7 body with Rover axle and gear box, good for 140max. Sad to see it go.
Then decided I had to get the ultimate Griff. We both have the right starmist ocean haze colour. Thanks again for colour advice. PS: See Tony Gilbert advert over the page 1998 Griff 500 £23,750. Griffs are a better investment than a B.. Barclays Golden ISA !
