45mins into the 1.10 (380mb) update and only at 49%! I have SKY unlimited, but it appears that I am being throttled. Anybody else have similar issues with their isp, or is it simply my setup? initial connection to lobby seems to take far too long too. ps3 is connected to std sky router via wifi. Is it posible to change ports for update data?

Any help appreciated.

Cheers

Mitch

Very similar with BT, took nearly 15 hours to download the updates after the PSN came back.

It's actually PSN - it's just bloody slow.

Took around 10 minutes to download - which is good for our SKY broadband rolleyes.

Pretty sure its the PSN, as it took ages for a update to download on both my PS3 last night (3 hours), but at the same time I DL over 2gb of "meterial" from other sites on my PC without issue.

This is on Virgin btw.

I had considered that it may be PSN, but then I was experiencing the same issue before it went down. I was previously on TalkTalk and never had a problem. Also interesting that DarkDice managed an 8min download :s

It's PSN in general, this isn't related to the recent issues - it's just a bit crap smile

I often have the Xbox and PS3 both getting things at the same time, the PS3 is always 10x slower to get the same amount of data over the same connection.

Took around 20 hours to download Burnout a few days ago with Sky Broadband, speedtest.net had it clocked at 3.2ish the whole time (which is normal for us) I'd say it's due to huge demand after PSN was down for so long.

Wifi will always be slower than hardwired, try a cat5 cable from the router to the PS3 (i dont know if they have network connections? im an xbox man) and even though the PSN is slow you will still get 'better' speeds than your experiencing now.
