I have just seen my ideal watch on sale on TZ

http://www.tz-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t...

Stupidly I have been looking for a while but never got round to registering and unsurprisingly registrations are closed. Looking at the ad, I am on a strict time limit and so am after a favour from a registered TZ-er. If anyone could pm the seller and inform him of my extremely keen interest I would really appreciate it.

Mike

Looks like you're in competition with Jem0911!

Though I think he's bought every watch for sale since time began, so you deserve it wink

That particular watch really tempted me this morning but I have to keep my cash for something else. Good luck with buying it, it looks great and I really get the comment re: the IWC flieger

What is it about TZ? They close to new registrations from genuine buyers but then allow all sorts of house clearence bric-a-brac to be advertised on Sales Corner. Old DVDs, a couple of old fking jackets, cameras and other assorted electronic st, baseball caps FFS and thats just in thge last 12 hours. Utter waste of time and full of chancers in my opinion. Sorry, bit of a rant but just take a look rolleyes
Show me where else I can find a, guaranteed genuine, pre-owned Breitling Aerospace for £650.

You're missing my point. I'm saying that's exactly what should be on there but access is limited because all the members think its fking ebay.
Ah fair enough.

I'm willing to sort through the dross to find the gems.

Out of interest, what's the idea of having a sale under these terms? "This will be withdrawn as from 4.30pm UK time on Thursday the 9th June"

Sorry but you are the one who has got it wrong, yes it is mainly a watch forum, however there are several forums within TZ that have nothing to do with watches, there are no rules that say Sales corner is exclusively for watches.

Registration to become a member of TZ is limited to UK office hours only. The reason behind this is due to the amount of new overseas members who joined during the night (UK time) and spammed the forums with advertising and some non-watch related pics! hehe You should be able to sign up between 9am-5pm though.

I don't mind sieving through the non-watch threads, but I can't see how it would harm the site to have a watch and non-watch sale section.

Funnily enough, I have a friend's MGB GT for sale on TZ!tongue out

Quoted from Guidelines to posting on sales corner:

Eddie said:
Sales corner is for the use of forum members to sell or trade any item, it is not solely for trading watches
It's not going to change anytime soon.

Precisely . If I've gots some DVDs to sell I'll be sure to logon. Otherwise the US equivalents satisfy the needs of enthusiasts in my view.
wink

The advantage of TZ-UK is that the majority of sales are based in the UK or EU - If you purchase a second hand watch from an equivalent US site, you are liable to pay import tax. A bargain could quickly turn into not much of a bargain! wink Also, I prefer the fact that a face to face sale (buying and selling) is a possible option.

Good, in a nice way Jem!!! I've just paid for the watch and it is on its way to me as we speak! The seller is off on holiday for 2 weeks and wanted to make sure he made last delivery time otherwise there would have been a 2 week delay.

Many thanks to Murph for making the contact, many internet pints to you.

Yes, pics will follow
