Having ploughed through all the links on this site regarding insurance companies, I was wondering if anyone can share any experience of Elephant.co.uk insurance and how it was? Good service? Did anyone make a claim and then how was the service? Basically would you recommend elephant or advise to steer clear?

Their quotation is good in comparison to others, so look forward to hearing some reports on them, good or bad. Cheers.

Well been almost a year with them in our 'back up' car. Cheap & Painless buying the policy, not been unfortunate enough to have mad a claim.

All in all pretty pointless reply but so far they get a from me.

Yep, I've got my trusty steed insured with them and no complaints in 2 and a half years. Made one claim and everything went very smoothly. Courtesy car was painless (even though the first one delivered was defective, they got me another sharpish)

We've got the wifes Volvo with them, claim going through at the mo after some old duffer rammed me. Provided courtesy car no probs and solicitor through the legal cover. However, 13 weeks after the accident still haven't got the car back, although it's imminent, apparently. Try Directline for a quote.

Must have had a hard day today - looked at this and thought "who the hell is trying to insure an elephant?"
