Overtake rage idiot in silver Focus

To the driver of the modified silver Focus Mk1 with the blacked out windows who I safely overtook on a clear, straight section of the A505 near Royston last night: thanks for speeding up as I passed, the angry hand gestures and manic flashing of your headlights. I realise now that to overtake you was a mistake and may have badly hurt your feelings. What was I thinking?

I was going to say that the little
should learn some fking manners. Not my fault if he's told all his mates that the tuppence ha'penny 'mods' transforms his stbox into a supercar-baiting rocketship which it clearly isn't.
My advice to the angry small-dicked moron would be to drive a bit faster if he doesn't want to get overtaken.

I had a woman try to undertake me a short time ago so I moved over, obviously being a gentleman so she did not break the law or put herself in danger.
As she went passed she beeped her horn to say thank you and waved at me repeatedly to wish my Godspeed on my way home.
It's being kind like this, and thinking of other drivers, that means people are more than happy to say thanks and I have never yet been a victim of road rage.

Why was a boy racer car driving so slowly that you felt the need and judged that you could overtake safely without breaking the speed limit? And how if his car is so **** could he out accelerate your rocket ship (or accelerate at least enough to worry you) even though you must have had a significant run up (speaking as someone who currently drives a low performance car but practices overtaking as often as possible and I have yet to find one of these fabled cars with instantaneous acceleration capable of blocking an appropriate and properly executed overtake)?

Anyone else think this thread would be a tad better if we knew what the OP was driving?
Same things happened to me a few times, thats why I insure the overtake is possible in all situations (Other driver being a Twunt ect) and if overtake cannot be completed there are also alternative options available.

A "properly executed" overtake does not include a significant run up to gain enough speed, though I appreciate that's the only way to can get past most cars in an underpowered car.Tum-tee-tum.

And I extend my apologies to you also; clearly today you had swapped your Focus for a 56 plate silver Skoda and were having a pleasant bimble at 45mph up the A19 to Thirsk. I can quite see how being overtaken, after I had held station well behind you until a clear straight section, after indicating before pulling out and giving you plenty of room when pulling in in front of you whilst not causing you to brake or change direction and without inconveniencing you at all, was clearly grounds for your apopleptic purple-faced reaction and manic "wker" gestures. Hope you had a good trip home and a nice lie down.
