What car.. 4k diesel?

Hi guys,

I wouldn't usualy post a what car thread but I'm looking to spend about 4k on a diesel and can't seem to find anything that excites me.

I've been looking at the usual VAG diesels but was wandering if anyone had any good ideas?

I really like my 530d (e39), bought it as a daily hack, but it is surprisingly nice to drive, and eats miles so easily. Feels much nicer than the Mondeo or passats that I was considering before.

sorry guys abit more info would been more helpful, I currently have an e46 325 and don't realy want to get anything bigger than that also no more than a 2 litre as I'm after much better economy.

My dad runs an '05 Fabia Estate 1.9tdi. Stupid high mpg, and feels a lot bigger than it actually is. Also a fair amount of kit in his, heated seats etc. It's proved reliable over 18 months and 40,000 miles
