My Shogun is currently at the garage. I have a spare prop shaft for it which I need to get to the mechanic.

I could take it in the morning, but this would mess up my work day, so I'd prefer to take it now. I can't access the garage to leave it there, so could only leave it in the truck itself, which is parked outside.

Problem is, whilst I can find the spare key, I can't find the spare electronic fob for the after-market alarm/immobiliser.

Question is, therefore, if I open the truck with the key (which will set the alarm off), will the alarm reset after a while once I've locked it again, or is it going to keep going off until it's reset with the fob?

Just to make matters worse, I can't remember the make of the alarm! hehe

Balance of probabilities responses are welcome.

If it's a relatively recent alarm it can only sound for a few minutes by law I believe.

my vote is for the alarm still going after you have locked the doors.

cant you just leave the prop under the car?

After the hassle I've had getting the right prop, I'm not going to take the risk!

It's a 3yr old alarm system if that helps.

My money's on it resetting a few minutes after plod arrive.

Don't think it will sound for more than 2-5mins in all seriousness.

I've found the instructions and the emergency override PIN, so it's going to sound for a while, but not too long! smile
