Management Thesis Ideas?

Morning all,

I'm a Management student looking to do a thesis in strategy or marketing. I'm currently looking at how I could apply either marketing or strategy to a trend in the automotive industry.

There are so many different angles to take - what I'm really looking for are ideas to be bounced around in the hope that they combine with my existing ideas/spark new ones

I'm in a similar possition and thinking of going down the altervivly fueled route, all very much emerging markets, lots to talk about.
