After years of putting up with the mediocre performance of standard wipers on my Tuscan, I have fitted flat-style blades with washer jets, bought on ebay. They are next to useless, making contact with about half of the swept area. It has been suggested that they may "bed in", but I have my doubts. Does anyone have experience of these, or a recommendation for a good alternative?

I just put a new pair of standard wipers from Halfrauds on my Sag, and just bent the passenger side one bit by bit until it curved along the same lines as the windscreen.. It works a treat, even during all those downpours last weekend, especially now I regularly wipe the screen with RainX too...

Also, on my T350 I had proper washer jets put into the bonnet like all the 'normal' cars - what a transformation !!! Needed a bigger washer bottle to support my regular squirting !!

First mod on the list for the Sag.

Bend them - more than you might think - got perfect contacton passenger side for full blade, and near perfect on driver side. Takes a bit of adjustment to get it right. Think its because of the extreme changes in angle on the Tuscan windcreen towards the upper corners.

I too bought the ebay ones and have had no probs with them. Delighted that I don't have the funny black plastic washer jet attached to the wipers. From which seller did you get yours from?

I had some aftermarket flat blades on the Chimaera... and they were rubbish too! Missed half the screen, and no amount of bending could help as essentially there wasn't enough overall flex in the blade.

Recently got the Tuscan and bought a pair of Bosch Retrofit Aerotwin flat blades like the ones here: http://www.wiperblades.co.uk/bosch-ar532s-aerotwin...

They work great, nice and quiet and clear the whole screen really well. Ok so they don't have the in-built washers but the current ones work fine for me. Good service from this place too.
