Not sure if I have to retune the whole Freeview Box, (and then delete the crap channels one by one) or whether I can just search for the new channel ?

If the latter, what channel# should I be looking for ?

301 is the virtual channel number - you need to know which multiplex it has moved to (several channels sharing a frequency) and what the frequency for that multiplex is on your local transmitter - you should be able to then just search for new channels on that frequency. Mind you, when they move one channel they usually move several others at the same time so a full rescan is probably worth doing.
