change 1.6 to 1.8

Hi to all

I am new to this so please be gentle

I have a 1.6 1996 mx5 no power steering fitted, and am looking at fitting a 1.8 in.

Big question.......Other than the engine itself, what ancillaries, engine mounts, clutch, gearbox etc have to be changed in doing this ?

I personally would just sell up and buy a 1.8.

Why?

If it's buggered then OK since you're changing it anyway why not a 1.8.

If you want more power then turbo much easier than an engine change and you won't get that much more from a 1.8 unless you plan to turbo it.

If you want a project then go more interesting, RX7 or Rover V8 just for giggles.
